In "The wife’s story" the main character wife experienced her emotions in four different ways, these emotions are happy, suspicious, scared and sad.

The beginning of the story the wife experienced he emotion happy because she has a happy family and has a good husband. "He was just purely good to me, and fine looking. He had such a beautiful voice, and he’d lead off strong, and the others following and joining in". She has a happy year of her life.

The wife start feels suspicious because after the husband came back from hunting, he was so tired and strange. He smelled strange, it made the wife’s hair stand up on end. Then she discovered her husband was a wolf turning into a man, she feel scare.

At the end of the story her emotion was sad, because her sister killed her husband. The younger ones were cowering and some crying, she thought if the thing was dead the spell, the curse must be done, and her husband could come back alive, in even dead, she would only see him, her true love, in his true from beautiful. But only the dead man lay there white and bloody.
